The Victoria Fiddle Society (VFS) would like to send a HUGE thanks to all the members of Coastline for playing so beautifully at our Fifth Annual FiddleFest concert. We received an over whelming amount of positive feedback on having you play and heard nothing but the highest praise for your incredible musicianship and professionalism. Our concert goers and the VFS LOVED YOU!!! Well done Coastline ... !!

I discovered Coastline through the Victoria Fiddle Society. Under the direction and amazing mentorship of Ivonne Hernandez, this youth ensemble has reached a level of performance that is really quite remarkable and professional. Their repertoire is beautiful, stirring, passionate, lively and emotionally moving. They draw from many musical traditions and genres. The arrangements for each piece are very effective and the young musicians play together seamlessly. Personally I am very inspired every time I see them perform. I believe it is very important to support music in our community and music education for youth. Coastline is one of the finest opportunities for youth string players I know of.

Coastline is a vibrant group of young Victoria musicians who are exceptional instrumentalists on fiddle, cello and piano. They performed for a record crowd at the 11th Annual Father's Day Ceilidh in the Park, a popular City of Victoria event, wowing the audience with their confidence, talent and wonderful musicality. They were a sure hit and we look forward to having them back!

What a treat we had last Sunday, when our stage burst with so much musical youthful exuberance! The Coastline members are as talented as they are delightfully entertaining. We enjoyed the finely arranged repertoire, the challenging exotic timings and all those great melodies! But best of all is the satisfied feeling we were left with: that as long as there are violins, keen kids and great teachers, all is well with the world!
